All Inclusive resort Cancun Mexico

If you’ve ever looked at an all-inclusive resort and thought, “This looks amazing… but is it actually worth it?” — you’re not alone.

I get asked this all the time, and the honest answer is: it depends on the kind of vacation you’re looking for.

At a basic level, an all-inclusive means you pay upfront and most of your trip is covered—meals, drinks, entertainment, and activities. For a lot of people, that’s the appeal. You’re not constantly thinking about what things cost. You can just enjoy being there.

What people tend to love most is how easy everything feels. You’re not planning every meal or pulling out your wallet all day. You can truly relax and enjoy your time, whether that’s by the pool, on the beach, or at dinner each night.

But here’s the part that doesn’t always get talked about— not every all-inclusive is the same. Some are incredible, and some are just okay. And if you choose based on price alone, that’s usually when people end up disappointed.

It also depends on how you like to travel. If you’re someone who wants to explore local restaurants and be out and about most of the day, you may not get the full value out of an all-inclusive. You’re paying for convenience and amenities, so you want to actually use them.

Where all-inclusives really shine is when you want a stress-free vacation. If your goal is to relax, enjoy great food and drinks, and have everything in one place, they can absolutely be worth it.

My biggest advice is this: the right all-inclusive can be an amazing experience—the wrong one can feel like a waste of money. Choosing the right resort for your travel style makes all the difference.

If you’ve been thinking about an all-inclusive vacation and aren’t sure where to start, I’d be happy to help you figure out what fits you best so your trip is easy and enjoyable from the beginning.

Let me know if you want to explore options—I’d love to help you plan it.
